Hearts and Sleeves - Week Five

A true mark of a lady is that she makes people feel comfortable and at home, whether they’re at her home or not. Do this in conversation by focusing on the other person and not on yourself, because self focus is a sure way to kill any relationship. Look the other person in the eye, giving them your full attention. No one wants to feel like they are low on your priority list. Smile and be confident. A great way to jump start a conversation is to get the person to talk about themselves or something they are passionate about, which might relax them. And remember that the key to working with people is love. Miss that one ingredient and you might as well become a hermit living up in the hills. (Proverbs 18:24)
