Hearts and Sleeves - Week Twenty One

As the famous Hollywood fashion designer Edith Head once said, “A dress should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to prove you’re a lady.” You know your clothing is too tight when you can see the outline of clothing items underneath such as pants pockets and bra, it is a fight to squeeze into it, the fabric between buttons pop up, and your movements are very limited. You know your clothing is too loose when you no longer have any shape but look like a blob, the shoulders hang down your arms, the sleeves go way past your fingertips, or you trip over the excess material of your pants. Let your clothing accentuate your shape, not drown it or shrink wrap it. Remember that you’re a woman of God and don’t need to attract attention to your body, but to the glow of Christ filling your heart. Always dress to match that glow!
