Hearts and Sleeves - Week Thirteen
Walking in high heels is a difficult skill and requires practice. Start becoming a master by being aware when you buy shoes that the farther forward the arch of the shoe, the easier they will be to walk in. Use gel insoles to ease any problem spots (Try Kiwi, Fab Feet, and Dr. Scholls products). When walking in heels put your head up and pull your shoulders back. High heels tend to make you lean forwards, so compensate by leaning back just a bit. As you walk take smaller steps. And instead of stiffening up when you feel off balance, sway your hips in little sideways figure eights to keep relaxed and the walking momentum going. If you’re still trying to not look like you’re awkwardly balancing on stilts, opt for shorter heels. Walking confidently in two inch heels is far more attractive than stumbling around in four inch heels. Always.
